George Michael (born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou on June 25, 1963) is an English Greek-Cypriot pop singer/songwriter. Michael began his career by forming a band called The Executive together with his best friend Andrew Ridgeley, a fellow pupil at Bushey Meads School, though it did not survive for long. It wasn't until he formed the duo Wham! together again with Ridgeley in 1981 that the success came for the band. Their first album, Fantastic!, was an instant success, and within a year they had released their classic debut single, Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do), while their second single, Young Guns (Go For It), became the first in a string of Top 10 hits in the UK singles chart. They were rapidly followed by titles such as Bad Boys, Club Tropicana, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, Freedom, Last Christmas/Everything She Wants, I'm Your Man and a second album, Make It Big.

Id say love was a magical thing
Id say love would keep us from pain
Had I been there, had I been there
I would promise you all of my life
But to lose you would cut like a knife
So I dont dare, no I dont dare
cause Ive never come close in all of these years
You are the only one to stop my tears
And Im so scared, Im so scared
Take me back in time maybe I can forget
Turn a different corner and we never would have met
Would you care
I dont understand it, for you its a breeze
Little by little youve brought me to my knees
Dont you care
No Ive never come close in all of these years
You are the only one to stop my tears
Im so scared of this love
And if all that there is, is this fear of being used
I should go back to being lonely and confused
If I could, I would, I swear
